Toxicological Emergencies – CCT

Toxicology emergencies are often complex and require a deep understanding of pharmacology by the critical care paramedic. In this module, we will discuss common toxicology emergencies and their treatment. This course is one module of Flight & Critical Care Review and covers the following objectives in Toxicological Emergencies-

• Toxicology assessment
• Common toxicological patterns
• Envenomation
• Antidotes and supportive care
• Hazards and corrective actions

The objectives for this course are aligned from the Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C®), Critical Care Certification (CCP-C®) and the CCEMTP® outline; creating a comprehensive list of critical care objectives.
