Pediatric Autism (F5 VILT)
Emergency responders respond to many types of pediatric calls. Patient’s with autism is one of the fastest growing disabilities in the United States. Learning how to effectively interact with a patient with autism is crucial to ensuring the proper assessment and care for the patient and for the provider. In this live interactive VILT session, the student will review and discuss the definition of autism as well as recognize traits and characteristics when interacting with patient.
This course is for the BLS & ALS Provider.

This is a VILT session which means it is NOT self-paced. You must attend at the time the class is being offered in a live classroom.
Each VILT session is counted hour for hour as if you were sitting in a classroom.
