Cardiac Arrest in the Field ECMO Primer (F5) VILT



Overall outcomes in prehospital cardiac arrest, in terms of neurological function are poor.   Only 11% of all prehospital cardiac arrest are discharged from the hospital with neurological function intact.  This VILT interactive session will dive into the pre-hospital care of cardiac arrest and review a systematic approach to providing care.  This live lecture will also discuss ECMO in the pre-hospital setting and review current systems utilizing ECMO around the globe. This lecture is sure to bring a lively discussion around prehospital ECMO.
