External Training Records Tool
The External Training Record tool allows users to report training activities performed outside of the LMS. As an individual user you can upload your external records and track towards your CE completion and as a group, the department educator may upload multiple employees records at one time.
Adding an External Training Record – Individual Student
Student’s can create an External Training Record via the External Training Record Tab.
Click the button to Add External Training Records
This will allow students to self-record an external training record and proof without needing any marking or validation from an administrator. (Some departments may turn on a restriction requiring all external training records submitted by a student to be reviewed and approved by the department educator.)
Users can specify:
- Course Type
- Course name
- Instructor Name
- Training Location
- Date Completion
- Expiration Date
- CEU Hours
- Main Category
- Course Category
- Course Sub Category
- Main Type Category
- Evidence of achieving the External Learning
Click Add,
This information will then be saved and listed in the External Training Record section.
Students will be able to add, edit and delete their External Training Record via the External Training Records tab.
Administrator View
Administrators will be able to view External Training Records added by their students via the External Training Record Report in Reports and the ETR tab view.
Submitted Student Records for Review
If the group has turned on the ETR restriction, once a student submits a record, the administrator will receive an approval message popup on the screen.
Click on Review. The administrator can approve or deny the training record.
When approving or denying the record, the administrator can provide a comment back to the student before submitting the approval or denial.
