MedEdNow is an accepted continuing education provider in Arizona as a CAPCE accredited program. We also follow the guidelines of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

RN/LPN are due to renew their license every 4 years. Nurses shall renew their license beginning on February 1 through April 1 on the year their license expires.
If RN/LPN do not renew on or before May 1, an additional fee for late renewal is added. If the license is not renewed on or before August 1, of the year your renewal is due, your license expires. You may not work on an expired license.
Renewal applicants must meet one of the following practice requirements:

  • Practiced as a nurse for 960 hours or more in the past 5 years (See the 960 hours/5-year practice requirement FAQs for more information) OR
  • Graduated from a nursing program and obtained a degree within past 5 years OR
  • Completed an Arizona Board approved refresher course in the past 5 years OR
  • Obtained an advanced nursing degree in the past 5 years (i.e. LPN to RN, RN to BSN, masters, or doctorate).

If you are an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife or Clinical Nurse Specialist, your certification will expire when your RN license expires.

Note: Official verification or certification including issue and expiration dates with category/specialty, must be provided directly to the board by the credentialing agency. If available, online verification directly from the agency is acceptable.
